1. Dab tiny dots of neutral highlighter or pale concealer on the outer and inner corners of both eyes, using only a pinprick amount on the inner corners. Blend it in well with the tip of your little finger. This will lift the eyes and make them look brighter.
2. Cover the entire eyelid, up to the brow bone, with a neutral colour that is as close to your natural skin colour as you can find. This will open up the eyes and make any mottled areas or veins disappear.
3. Brush a layer of mascara over the top of the upper lashes, then twice from below. This gives definition, yet looks more natural than a thick third layer.
4. Add a very fine line of dark brown or grey eye-liner close to the upper lashes. Keep the liner subtle, or the fresh-faced, bright-eyed facade will be ruined.
