The obsession with split ends is one of the most boring phenomenons since the invention of craft fairs. However, if you are in paroxysms of horror about having them and do not have time to get your hair trimmed, use
and extremely heavy duty hair conditioner that claims to repair split ends. Although it will not mend them forever, the hair shafts will be coated with a thin layer – most likely of silicone – to give the impression of healthy hair. Tiny quantities of hair wax or serum (or even a pea-sized amount of hand cream) applied to the ends of the hair will also help, giving the illusion of hair bursting with moisture. Although we are all encouraged to believe we can become mini salon stars, your hair will look and feel a lot better if you do not overdy it – wait until your hair has almost fully dried naturally before using a dryer.
