COLOUR BLOCKING
Colour Blocking Technique is perfect for the client who loves the dramatics of artificial colours. This is the most unnatural way to archieve a balayage but still the perfect blend of colour. This technique is perfect for more vibrant colours for example the purples, reds and coopers. This is because of the fusion of pigments are more compatible then more natural or blond pigments.
Application:
To archieve this, select 2-3 (recommended) colours with similar pigments going from dark to light. Place the dark colour from the root covering all the hair ending 1/3 of the way down in a reverse balayage technique then with the lighter colour connect the two colours with a staggered affect. Once the section is completely covered fuse by smudging the connecting colours together.
